Produced in limited quantities, they are aged in French oak with further bottle aging before release.Excellent value in an Amador County Zinfandel. Beaujolais-styled, generous black cherry and blackberry fruit aromas with a beautiful balance and a big, sumptuous and juicy mouthfeel. Aged exclusively in French oak, it shows thick brambly blackberry fruit with pepper, anise, clove, and other exotic spices. Foxglove is their second value label, and their wines are consistently rated outstanding buys.Made by the Varner Brothers with fruit from Paso Robles in the Central Coast region, this unoaked Chardonnay is a blend of fruit from three vineyards to optimise the synergy of flavours. Pineapple, green apple, and lemon notes on the nose. The palate is rich yet restrained, with a long finish.Made from fruit from the Los Alamos Vineyard from California’s Central Coast, where the climate has a cool maritime influence.
