Nashi, talc and floral notes dominate the bouquet. Notable weight and power through the mid-palate provides grandeur, with racy acidity leading to a sustained finish.[96pts Bob Campbell MW The Real Review]A surprisingly overt nose of citrus flowers, elderflower and crushed stone. The palate, by contrast, dances rather than shouts with white peach, citrus and florals woven around a centre spine of acid, with hints of brioche. The dance settles to a seamless saline and mineral finish, pure to the very end.[96pts Bob Campbell, MW, The Real Review]A vivid nose of deep florals: dark roses, violets, and an undertow of ripe red fruit. The palate shows the best of each vineyard that makes up the cuvee in the pure but powerful drive of fruit on a perfect cusp of ripeness, with complexing notes of sandalwood and spice. Silken tannins finish the package.[97pts Bob Campbell, MW, The Real Review]Citrus blossom, lemon zest and elderflower aromas typical of the lower lying, sheltered and east sloping Block 2. The palate introduces delicate white peach and melon, leading to a very pure and restrained mid-palate. It is fine, elegant and transparent, the schist soils making their mark. The higher elevation and north-facing slope of Block 6 provides a contrast with Block 2, with ripe fruit with delicate brioche notes and almond leading the aromatics. A mouthcoating and broad Chardonnay that is transparent, detailed, precise and sophisticated from the careful handling.(See page9 for more details.)An instant bath of flowers, fruits and spice in a wash of Cornish Point indulgence, all leading to a flowing silky finish. Through the entire palate there is a gentle mineral seam that stops anything from tipping over into excess, so it seduces rather than hollers. Will gain further complexity with age.[95pts Bob Campbell MW, The Real Review]Characteristic Calvert florals lead the nose with violets and dark rose petals dominating. The deep silt soils and naturally moderated vine vigour provides intensity and detailed, elegant tannins, the character of the site restraining the influences of a warm vintage. Fine and regal: a classic Calvert.[95pts James Suckling]The nose is dark, as is the colour, beguiling, but restrained. There is a stature to the palate, a definite sprig of herbs, chocolate notes, but still so transparent that every nuance is revealed. Extraordinary as it seems this is just the second time Felton Road have made MacMuir as a single vineyard release.[97pts Bob Campbell, MW, The Real Review]Ross and Barbara Lawson start grape growing in Marlborough in 1980 supplying wineries in the region, before creating their own label in 1992. From their first release they won awards, and have never looked back.Displays all the characters you expect from great Riesling - lemon, lime, apple, honey, white peach and spring flowers. Time in the bottle has given subtle, toasty aromas while the palate is bright, crisp and elegant with just a touch of sweetness to provide balance.A 25/75% blend of fruit from estate vineyards in the Awatere and Waihopai Valleys. An attractive nose of zesty lemon and passionfruit tied together with layers of fresh, herbaceous characters. The palate has wonderful fruit concentration with mineral undertones balanced by fresh acidity. The finish is gentle and dry.[Gold Medal, Drinks Business Sauvignon Blanc Masters 2023]-40-Dry Riesling S’23Central OtagoRiesling Alc.12.7% RS3.42g/LChardonnay Bannockburn S’22Central OtagoChardonnay Alc.13.9% Pinot Noir Bannockburn S’22Central OtagoPinot Noir Alc.14.2% Riesling Block 1 S’23Chardonnay Block 2 S’22Central OtagoChardonnay Alc.14.0% Chardonnay Block 6 S’21Central OtagoChardonnay Alc.13.9%Pinot Noir Cornish Point S’22Central OtagoPinot Noir Alc.14.1% Pinot Noir Calvert S’22Central OtagoPinot Noir Alc.14.3% Pinot Noir MacMuir S’22Central OtagoPinot Noir Alc.14.6% Riesling S’18MarlboroughRiesling100% Alc.11.2% RS8.92g/LSauvignon Blanc S’23MarlboroughSauvignon Blanc100% Alc.12.9% Lawson's Dry Hills
