Old vines give the vines a distinct direct connection to the mineral underlaying the soil. Firm acidity complements a richly textured mid-palate spiked with notes of fl owers and sea grass.Fruit from Eyrie’s original vineyard, and the home of the hawks that grace their label. Fermented with wild yeast in small fermentation vessels, followed by aging in blends of cooperage with 12% new oak. Fragrant and complex, refl ecting facets of the soil, site, exposure, and vine age.Brilliant ruby colour with violet edges. Aromas of strawberries, raspberries and ripe fruit with touch of pepper and spices and elegant fl oral notes.
