The three hares in the logo symbolises the interconnectivity of vineyards, winemaking and distribution.Fruit from three low-cropping vineyards in Marlborough’s Southern Valleys, with clay soils enhancing the supple texture. Distinctly varietal showing ripe, fresh red fruit characters matched with appealing, savoury French oak aromatics. The palate is bright and vibrant with a fleshy mid-palate and lovely length.A lovely ripe lift of aromatics showing passionfruit, melon and pineapple, together with herbal notes of bell pepper and grass. The palate is concentrated and crisp, with lovely weight and a bright clean finish. A small percentage was fermented on lees in old French oak to add complexity. (See page6 for more details.)From a near perfect growing season, with each block picked for optimum ripeness. Bright lemon, nashi and floral notes combine to create a delicious bouquet on the nose. The palate is dry with lovely stonefruit characters, concentration and length, finishing with a freshness and balanced acidity.Enticing aromas of lemon and peach with a light smokiness. The lovely concentration of fruit is enhanced by French oak vanilla characters, while extended lees contact adds toasted brioche and savoury flavours to the palate. The nose shows complex yeast autolysis characters of nuts, freshly baked bread, wild mushrooms and marzipan, entwined with notes of citrus and stone fruit. The palate is amazingly fresh, with a gentle effervescence and long textural finish.IQ3 bottles are held for a minimum of 3 years of maturation on lees and are disgorged as required. Lees aging has produced a sparkling of great complexity. Aromas of vanilla, almond and straw combine with a rich full palate, creamy texture and fine effervescence.IQ7 bottles are aged on lees in the bottle for a minimum of 7 years before disgorging, producing a sparkling of great complexity. Aromas of wheatmeal, sourdough, roasted nuts and marzipan. The palate is rich and full with great length and fine effervescence.A light salmon pink colour, with a fine persistent bead and a moderate mousse. Aromas of citrus, strawberry and complex yeast derived characters of vanilla, roasted nuts and vegemite. The palate is dry with a gentle spritz and long clean finish.Made with fruit from the Kuranui vineyard in the Awatere Valley. Intense citrus, stone-fruit, and fresh herb aromas. The palate is full of tropical fruit flavours with a crisp, dry finish. Excellent with shellfish, fish and summer salads, or with roast pork and apple sauce.Made from fruit from the Estate’s Riverview vineyard, it underwent malolactic fermentation and was aged in oak for 9 months. Aromas of ripe peach, lemon curd and roasted hazelnut. The palate displays vanilla cream, honeysuckle and citrus fruit flavours with a persistent, toasty oak finish.
