It was ‘International Winemaker of the Year’ in 2004 and inducted into Australian Tourism Awards ‘Hall of Fame’ in 2006.Maori for ‘dawn sky’, Ata Rangi pioneered winemaking in the Martinborough region, and Pinot Noir in New Zealand, and their Pinot Noirs have established New Zealand's worldwide reputation for the varietal.Bright yellow-green straw in the glass, the nose displays aromas of Meyer lemon, white peach, and custard apple. On the palate, refreshing orchard stone fruits combine perfectly with pithy citrus notes. A hint of creaminess balances out the beautiful, natural, zesty acidity.Bright crimson. Aromas of cherries and strawberries with a perfumed spicy lift on the nose. The palate is rich and soft, with vibrant, plush fl avours of juicy cherries and pomegranate, as well as savoury and spicy notes. A silky concentration provides a long fi nish.Deep garnet red. Aromas of blackcurrants and blueberries balanced with more savoury notes of spice and cocoa nibs. Juicy red and black fruits frame the vibrant medium-bodied palate, with supple tannins supporting forest fl oor characters including blackberry, bramble and blood plum.Handpicked and whole bunch pressed, barrel fermented in 500 litre puncheons, and lees stirred. Pale straw with green hues. Creamy white peach & pear fruit with citrus freshness. An enticing combination of stone fruits layered with fl int minerality and a creamy vanillin oak centre. Finishes crisp and clean.Pale garnet with red hues. A perfume of spiced red berries and a pure core of cherry fruit on the nose. A bright and fresh palate full of raspberries and cherries, the fi nely boned tannins build an elegant structure, balanced with a succulent acidity. Drink now through 2025.Brilliant dark ruby red in the glass. Fragrant purple fl orals, black pepper and red fruit aromas on the nose. The palate opens with tart raspberries and blood plums, with a fine gravelly tannin throughout, and lovely background oak spice, all poised atop a freshening backbone of acidity.An array of fruit aromas, with watermelon, sun-ripened strawberries, pomegranate, and pink grapefruit, with all spice and cardamom notes adding complexity. The smooth and juicy palate shows grapefruit and prosciutto. Bright, lively acidity holds the fl avours together giving vibrancy and length.Spice notes of cardamom and ginger combine with rosehip and pomegranate, savoury manuka smoke and prosciutto mingle with red fruits. The palate ranges from raspberry compote to rhubarb and orange zest. Smooth and supple on the entry, fi ne tannins buoy the freshness, with a sustained fi nish.A blend of Syrah 56%, Merlot 31%, Malbec 7% and Cabernet Franc 6%. An intense nose of dark scented aromas of aniseed, black liquorice and cardamom draws you in to a palate peppered with ripe plum and black currant.
