Subtle nectarine and white peach notes with a fine citrus line, transitions on the palate into ethereal creamy notes that are the essence of a complex Chardonnay.The gentle weather of 2021 produced a Pinot Noir notable for its early drinkability and charm. The nose shows red fruits including raspberries, strawberry compote and sour cherries, together with subtle floral notes. Stylistically more old world than new, the palate is complex and refined.A bright, vibrant, silky and red fruited display of pomegranate, raspberry and red liquorice. In the mouth it is creamy and plush with gorgeous ripe red fruit, the tannins and shape that drive through to the finish seem to bring the fruit along with them. Very classy. Made from hand-picked fruit from 35-year old vines in the estate vineyards. Whole bunch pressed and fermented in stainless steel, and left in the tank on lees for 6 months prior to bottling. Showing aromas and flavours of guava, passionfruit, lemon and lime.Hand-picked Gin Gin clone fruit from the 20-30 year old Fire Gully Farm & Vineyard vines was whole bunch pressed to 1 and 2-year old French oak. Notes of pineapple, honeydew melon, lemon, lime and green apple, complemented by subtle toasty notes and a delicate, creamy mouthfeel.A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc gives backbone and structure together with smooth, soft textures and fragrance. Gently perfumed red berry aromatics open onto a palate with ripe plum and blackcurrant flavours. Medium-to-full-bodied, showing good weight and gentle grip on the finish.A light dry white, Sauvignon Blanc 49.4% adds delicate perfumed aromas and youthful fresh flavours, Semillon 47% the ability to mature gracefully, and Chardonnay 3.6% body and power. Flavours of citrus, pear, green apple, melon and tropical fruit. Fresh, crisp and dry, it is both complex and elegant.Cabernet Sauvignon 58% for structure, length and tannin, Merlot 28% for softness and depth, Cabernet Franc 8% for aromatic complexity, with Malbec 4% and Petit Verdot 2%. Smooth, silky soft and attractive, medium-bodied with elegant flavours of blackberry, cassis mulberry and plum.Each parcel is hand-picked, with first picks for aromatic complexity and acidity, and later picks for flavour and body. Showing great finesse with impressive power, a tight structure and generous flavour.
