An excellent growing season supported ideal ripening and flavour development of the fruit. The grapes were sourced from two estate vineyards in Monterey County, with the majority from the cooler climate Arroyo Seco which gives grassy and citrus character to the wine. Fragrant ripe melon aromas. It is lively and zesty on the palate, with lovely notes of citrus and grapefruit that lead into a crisp, refreshing finish. A small amount of Semillon added to the final blend adds body and texture.

一般的によく見かけるマルボローのソーヴィニヨン・ブランと異なり、一部樽発行させたこのワインは厚みのあるテクスチャーで、複雑味のある味わい。しかし樽の主張は抑えられ、白亜質なミネラル感がある酸が支柱となり、伸びやかで、エレガントな印象を残す。NZ Cuisine誌をはじめ、多くのワイン誌が高評価。
Fruit was sourced from six different Marlborough vineyards from a wide geographical spread, adding the complexity of diverse terrior. A small portion of the wine was fermented in oak to add wonderful texture to the whole blend. Lifted, complex and elegant, passionfruit and lemon/lime flavours feature strongly on the nose, with subtle tropical, herb and red apple notes. The palate is crisp and dry with lovely acidity and distinct chalky mineral notes.

The fruit was handpicked at optimum ripeness in extremely small, selected parcels from high-density vines in the Colchagua Valley, and then vinified in small tanks to get the best possible extraction of aromas, flavours and silky tannins. After fermentation, it was aged in French oak barrels for 18 months, and blended just before bottling. An intense purple colour, it displays blackcurrant, blackberry and raspberry fruit flavours, with graphite and mineral notes. The structure is elegant, offering freshness and a refined sense of terrior.
